Meet our 2024-25 Scholarship Recipient

Macy Pohorence

Congratulations to Macy Poherence!  She has been awarded the 2024-2025 Jim Murray Memorial Scholarship.  Macy has participated in High School Band at Sandusky High School for all four years.  Macy has also completed three years of studio classes.  She is the flute section leader and squad leader for 3 years and served as a band officer.  She participated in OMEA District 2 Honor Band as 2nd chair in 2023 and as 1st chair in 2024.  Macy has also participated for 3 years in the orchestra, playing the cello.  We are very excited to award this scholarship to Macy!

2024-2025 Scholarship Renewals

Gracie Hayes and Ellie Dible will have their scholarships renewed for the upcoming academic year, 2021-2022.  Gracie has excelled at Bowling Green State University in the Instrumental Music program.  She has received high recommendations from the music department at Bowling Green.  Ellie received recommendations from the music department at Ohio University.  We are so happy that they are continuing their studies and represent the spirit of music that was a part of Jim's life.

Congratulations to our Graduates!

Arianna and Danielle Consolo graduated this spring from BGSU with their degrees in Instrumental Music Education.  These young women were our first scholarship recipients.  They are amazing musicians and young women.  We ask blessings on them as their pursue careers in music education.
